...showed us a very different town from Santa Fe. It is a sprawling city and we were fortunate to be anchored near the University of Arizona, our kind of neighborhood. The altitude is great--about 5,000 feet lower than our town--but the heat was already picking up in March. It was nearly an eight-hour drive from Santa Fe to Tucson.
