Rockies vs. Mets at Coors Field.




Denver is about a six hour drive from Santa Fe. For baseball, we can drive 1 hour and 15 minutes to see the Albuquerque Isotopes (Triple A), or six hours to Coors Field, or lotsa hours to Tucson (Hi Corbett Field or Tucson Electric Park, spring training). On this day, while visiting family in Denver, we went to see the Mets lose to the Rockies. Nevertheless, we had a wonderful day at the ballpark; we watched Aaron Cook pitch a complete game and Seth Smith hit the first home run of his career. And as Lucy said, this was the very first time she got to see the Mets in person. Although she didn't get to see Mr. Met, she high-fived Dinger...er...the purple mascot below.
