Since we have stayed at New Mexico campsites and intend to stay at more, this story about a family's breakfast being disrupted by a large, no-nonsense bear definitely got our attention. First, the bear took the cooler and upon finding it empty, huffed back for more, rejecting a yummy almost-cooked breakfast in favor of some ginger candy.
The family handled the situation calmly and managed to get photos from the safety of their van.
