New Mexico State Fair 2006.

We visited the Fair on its first day, after we had a pleasant dinner with friends at the new Gruet winery restaurant in Albuquerque. We all headed over to the Carrie Underwood concert. (The verdict was that the concert and Carrie were good, but Tingley Coliseum must, MUST I SAY, be rebuilt. That venue is only about 80 years old. But the crowd was happy and pleasant and that girl can sing.) Then we visited the Fair on its last day, a cool, lighthearted Sunday afternoon, and enjoyed the quality of clinging to the very last bit of summer.
