It first opened in 1955, and everyone in town seemed to agree that the Sweeney Convention Center in Santa Fe was showing its age. As of March 2006, it was knocked down and hauled away...right now the front stairs and wall are about all that's left. A new Civic Center is scheduled to open in Fall 2007 with about 72,000 square feet of meeting and exhibit space.
The last shot is of a parking lot right near the old Sweeney. Question: what is that little yellow car? No identifying marks on it at all.
